When I look back at<br />

the journey we embarked upon in July<br />

2002, I am overwhelmed with pride. We<br />

set an unprecedented goal <strong>of</strong> raising<br />

$100 million in five years, and you were<br />

up for the challenge. You attended<br />

functions; you spread the word <strong>of</strong> UM’s<br />

world­class instructors and researchers;<br />

you volunteered and put in long hours.<br />

You made history.<br />

To say it was a group effort is an understatement.<br />
