THESURVIVORNOZZLESSPECIALTY NOZZLESTHE SURVIVORDESIGN MOTIVATIONThe Survivor Drain Nozzle is a direct response to challengesassociated with highly congested process areas.Monitor stations — often placed inside process areasat the outermost battery limits — are an effectivemeans of providing insipient response for containmentin many instances. However, these stations may not beable to sufficiently inundate vital assets within thesecongested areas, and will place personnel too close forcomfort when the situation escalates.Williams Fire and Hazard Control Inc. will soon be introducing a new type of nozzle which mountsdirectly into existing process sewer drains, receives water/foam solution from piping placed directlyinto the sewer, and can be configured to project its fully adjustable water/foam solutiononto overhead and surrounding equipment. The Survivor nozzle allows for immediate unmannedAUTOMATED foam applictions from withinthe threatened area. The Survivor Drain Nozzle gets its name from itsdesign and specific goal. Overhead sprinkler systemsand/or elevated monitors work well in mostfire fighting scenarios, but process areas oftencontain dangerous vapor clouds which can collectand detonate. Our experience has shown that thesefire protection devices are often serverly compromisedbefore ever being activated. The Survivor Drain nozzle is installed at grade level, is extremely robust, and is intended to surviveoverhead vapor air explosions, allowing it to be activated and provide protection to surroundingassets and personnel at the onset of an event. The nozzle is also able to provide a thick foam blanket for vapor suppression should a loss of containmentoccur. Suppressing these vapors could prevent a fire or explosion from happening as wellas help keep the atmosphere safer for personnel in the area.EXPERIENCE DRIVES INNOVATIONOur mission is to provide the most effective fire fighting equipment on the planet. Like our longhistory of groundbreaking products, the Survivor Drain Nozzle is yet another example of whyWilliams Fire and Hazard Control Inc. is a “Steward of Industry”.WWW.WILLIAMSFIRE.COMINFO@WILLIAMSFIRE.COMILLIAMSPRODUCTS 800-231-4613EMERGENCY 409-727-2347281-999-0276
