<strong>Last</strong> Week’s <strong>Meeting</strong> <strong>25</strong> <strong>November</strong> <strong>2010</strong>Opening: At a little after7.15am President Guy withhis new look round tableopened the meeting by introducingDistrict GovernorElect Liz Westoby and herhusband, and our guestspeaker, Pr<strong>of</strong>essor JanetRichardson from ECU.AnnouncementsConference 2011: President Guy reminded all aboutnext years Bi District Conference and that early birdregistrations close on 6th Dec.SwapMart Report: PP Darrell Carmody reportedthat it was an extremely busy day with 272 bays sold(mind you we only have 260 at a stretch!) for takings <strong>of</strong>$4504 with no vegie seller present.4 Way Test: Fred Marsh announced the semi final <strong>of</strong>the Public Speaking were held last Tuesday night.Three students were selected to progress to the finals tobe held at District Conference.Movies by Burswood: Neil Darch again reminded usabout the value added cardsConti wines: President Guy reminded us orders need tobe in by the end <strong>of</strong> the second week in December. Orderforms can be found on page 8.WheelChairs for Kids: PP Gordon Hudson announcedthat envelopes had been placed on tables advising<strong>of</strong> the availability <strong>of</strong> W4K’s Christmas Cards.<strong>The</strong>se are a major fund raiser for W4K’s.Torches: PP David Gaubert reported that there weretorches for sale.<strong>Club</strong> Xmas Party: To be held on Saturday 18thDec. Liz reported that she has been a Rotarianfor 16 years and been in clubs in 9460, 9450 and9455. She joined <strong>Rotary</strong> when women were notexactly popular in <strong>Rotary</strong>. She went on to outlineher projects for the year. With regards to Youthshe would like to develop an Australia - NewZealand RYE exchangeand acountry - metroexchange.
