For example, they areused together with 3TK28 safetycombination units, up to safetycategory 4.ApprovalsThe 3SE3 200 molded plasticenclosed safety positionswitches and the 3SE3 120metal-enclosed safety positionswitches have been given approvaltest certificates in accordancewith German regulations(BIA) as well as Swiss regulations(SUVA).The 3SE3 243 and 3SE3 257molded plastic enclosed safetyposition switches have beengiven an approval test certificatein accordance with German regulations(BIA).■ ConstructionThese compact SIGUARD positionswitches are available inthree versions:•With molded plastic enclosureand fixing dimensions acc. toEN 50 047•With metal enclosure and fixingdimensions acc. to EN 50 041•With molded plastic enclosureoutside of the standards thathas arisen in this form in accordancewith general market requirements.Mounting dimensions when usingthe switch as a safety positionswitch are as follows:•20mm (molded plastic enclosure)■ Technical data•30mm (metal enclosure)and the switch must be fittedwith a pin or with a stop.OperationThe position switch can only beoperated with the matching triple-codedactuator. Simple overrulingby hand or auxiliary devicesis impossible.Mounting is possible in two positions(180° apart), making it possibleto have four different operatingdirections.The actuator with side actuationcan be repositioned every 90°; itcannot be replaced with actuatorsof the standard type.A single gland entry protectsagainst ingress of dust and water,preventing misoperation ofthe switch.Radius actuatorSIGUARD position switches withradial actuators are particularlysuitable for applications wherevibration or movement is a problem.Positive openingThe switch can be used in safetycircuits due to the positive openingof the NC and positive closingof the NO contacts by pullingthe actuator. The position switchmust not be used as an endstop.Contact reliabilityThe moving contacts are designedas double break contacts(for 3SE3 200-.XX13, as singlebreak contacts). This increasesthe contact reliability even whenthe switch has to be operatedwith low voltages and currents,e. g.
