Shaft rotation is the established direction inwhich the shaft rotates to count. The shaft rotation designation definesthe direction for additive counting for all totalizing counters. It definesthe rotation direction for normal counting for predetermining counters,which is a function of the counter’s design. Example: Normal countingis additive for the Series 1239 predetermining counter but subtractivefor the Series 7283 predetermining counter.
