<strong>Yorba</strong> <strong>Linda</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong><strong>GRAD</strong> <strong>NIGHT</strong> 2013April 2013To the parents of the Class of 2013:Graduation is just around the corner and we are looking forward to the Class of 2013 GraduationCeremony and then later in the evening <strong>GRAD</strong> <strong>NIGHT</strong> 2013!Grad Night 2013 will take place at the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney, Anaheim. Our graduates willenjoy a memorable, safe night of fun with their classmates playing wide variety of games and activities,including video arcade games, race simulators and bowling. In addition, there will be a D.J., dancing, ahypnotist, a photo booth and more. Food and soft drinks will be available throughout the night, as wellas breakfast treats in the early morning hours.Attached are Permission Forms for Grad Night 2013, which must be completed and returned toparticipate. Parent signatures are required on all forms, even if your senior is 18 year of age. There willbe NO EXCEPTIONS!Seniors who have already purchased a Grad Night 2013 ticket need to return all 3 forms duringbreak or lunch on May 22, May 23 or May 24 to the Grad Night table in the quad area. At that time,they can make their bus selection. If your senior wishes to ride the bus with friends, they mustsign-up together. Students that do not sign up for a bus will be assigned to a bus at random.Seniors who have not yet purchased their Grad Night 2013 ticket can do so at any time until May 24 th .Order forms can be found online at www.ylhsgradnight.weebly.com. Tickets can also be purchased onMay 22, 23 or 24 at the Grad Night table.Grad Night 2013 will begin with check-in at the YLHS gym at 9:00 p.m. and continue throughout theactivities at ESPN Zone and return to YLHS at 5:30 a.m. the next morning. Grad Night 2013 will adhereto the ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY AND CODE OF CONDUCT RULES ENFORCED DURINGSCHOOL EVENTS.The Grad Night committee would like to thank everyone who has given their time and talents to ensurean exciting graduation celebration for the Class of 2013. We would also like to thank the City of <strong>Yorba</strong><strong>Linda</strong> for supporting Grad Night with their donation. <strong>GRAD</strong> <strong>NIGHT</strong> 2013BEHAVIOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SENIORSAND RELEASE OF LIABILITYPLEASE READ CAREFULLY1. Drop seniors off at the main entrance to the gym at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.**Please do not drop your senior off earlier than 8:50 p.m. or later than 9:15 p.m.**ABSOLUTELY NO overnight parking is allowed in the YLHS parking lots.Pick up students at the YLHS parking lot at 5:30 a.m. on June 12, 2013.No grad will be released at any time during the Grad Night hours of 9:00 p.m., June 11 th –5:30 a.m. – June 12 th .2. Dress comfortably and in the grad night t-shirt provided. All activities will be indoors.3. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:*YLHS ID Card*<strong>GRAD</strong> <strong>NIGHT</strong> T-SHIRT (REQUIRED) – If the T-shirt is altered in any way, you will not beallowed to attend.4. YOU MUST HAVE TURNED IN THE FOLLOWING PAPERWORK:*Participant Waiver Form*Parent Permission, Medical Emergency and Waiver of Claims form*Behavior Responsibilities for Seniors form (cut off on bottom of form)5. DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:*Backpack, purse, fanny pack, wallet, iPods, pager, water bottle, gum*Jackets or outerwear*Alcohol, tobacco products, drugs, drug paraphernalia*Any kind of weapon6. YOU MAY BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:Cell phone, personal camera (no camera bags, attachments or film canisters allowed). The GradNight Committee and volunteers accept no liability for lost or damaged items.7. EVERY SENIOR WILL BE SUBJECT TO A THOROUGH SEARCH, PER DISTRICT POLICY.THIS INCLUDES POCKET CHECKS, SOCKS AND SHOE CHECK AND RANDOM ALCOHOLSCREENING.8. No one is allowed to come to this event under the influence of any substance. Security personneland the police will be on hand to be sure this is adhered to.9. Everyone is expected to comply with these rules. If these rules are not followed,parents/guardians will be contacted to pick up the senior immediately. If contact cannot be made,the local police will be called and a chaperone will stay with the student until the senior is pickedup by a parent/guardian. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IF THIS OCCURS.<strong>GRAD</strong> <strong>NIGHT</strong> 2013 is a zero-tolerance activity. All school rules are in effect. Graduates found withillegal substances will be subject to police and parental notification and the graduate will be removedfrom the event. Items not allowed: tobacco products, lighters, matches, alcohol, flasks, weapons,chains, gum, water bottles, chap stick, lip gloss, markers and sharp objects.
