<strong>NETNode</strong> <strong>IP</strong> <strong>Mesh</strong> <strong>Radio</strong> <strong>Phase</strong> 3 (<strong>Robust</strong>)COFDM – Video, Audio Telemetry and <strong>IP</strong> ProductsSeptember 2012 Data SheetThe most important thing we build is trustCobham <strong>NETNode</strong> <strong>IP</strong> mesh radios are the latestinnovations in the expanding range of CobhamTactical Communications and Surveillance solutionsimproving surveillance connectivity.<strong>NETNode</strong> <strong>IP</strong> radios can be combined in a fluid selfforming, self healing mesh containing up to twelveradios. The <strong>NETNode</strong> radios within the meshexchange data on a single frequency, simplifyingfrequency management. The entire mesh occupiesjust 2.5MHz of bandwidth (3.0, 3.5, 5.0 and 6.0MHzalso available). The <strong>NETNode</strong> radios employ theunique Cobham COFDM modulation scheme andtherefore offer excellent RF penetration andperformance in the presence of multipath.The <strong>NETNode</strong> mesh radios can provide up over 5.0(6.0)Mb/s of <strong>IP</strong> data (data rate depends on mode,number of nodes and range between nodes). Thisavailable bit-rate can be used to exchange <strong>IP</strong> datatraffic between nodes.The highly flexible mesh topology means that datacan be exchanged between nodes in a point-to-pointor multi-point fashion; range can be extended byusing nodes as repeaters. The self-forming, selfhealingmesh architecture makes the <strong>NETNode</strong>product ideal for use in mobile surveillanceapplications, command and control applications, oradvanced robotics.The <strong>NETNode</strong> can be connected to third partycomposite cameras using the NETAV option. Two PTZcontrol channels are available to enable control ofthird party PTZ cameras. Alternatively, there arededicated PTZ camera solutions available for directconnection to the <strong>NETNode</strong> e.g. CAMPTZ* is a highperformance, high quality day/night PTZ camera forlong range and overt surveillance, this option requiresthe NETAV option to be fitted. Third party <strong>IP</strong> camerascan also be directly connected to the <strong>NETNode</strong>.Security of the entire mesh network can be ensuredby the use of the optional AES128 or AES256encryption.Control of the deployed mesh is achieved using theinbuilt web browser or comprehensive MissionCommander PC application. This software suite, basedaround a mapping display, is used to configure andmonitor the mesh and wider Cobham Surveillancesystems, and to control its nodes and cameras. Videocan be viewed on the PC device using the MissionCommander software and recorded using MilestoneCompatible recorders.www.cobham.com/tcs
