VII. CARE AND MAINTENANCE3. Release the seat friction lock lever and rotate the seat one-quarter turn to the right.4. Turn the rear shroud fasteners one-quarter turn in any direction. See figure 29.5. Remove the rear shroud.6. Unplug the controller from the power base.7. Remove the seat.8. Turn the yellow fastener one-quarter turn and remove the center shroud. See figure 29.9. Disconnect the battery harness from the rear battery. See figure 27.10. Remove the rear battery.11. Place a new battery in the power base.12. Connect the battery harness to the rear battery according to the battery wiring diagram. See figure 29.13. Remove the foot platform retaining pin and lift off the front cover. See figures 6 and 18.14. Pull out the front battery tray.15. Disconnect the battery harness from the front battery.16. Unfasten the battery strap.17. Remove the front battery.18. Place a new battery onto the battery tray.19. Connect the battery harness to the front battery according to the battery wiring diagram.WARNING! Make sure you tighten the fasteners so that the connections are secure.20. Fasten the battery strap.21. Reinstall the center shroud.22. Reinstall the front cover.23. Reinstall the seat. Rotate it one-quarter turn to the right.24. Plug in the controller to the power base.25. Reinstall the rear shroud.26. Rotate the seat forward.27. Charge the batteries.
