He inquired about another board member attending this year. The board agreedthat it is a necessary expenditure, feeling that if SPS is not represented, the district will not havea voice at all. Legislators have been invited toattend the next meeting, though only one has confirmed to date.OtherDirector Daggett commented on the WSSDA conference he attended and a session thataddressed the achievement gap, presented by Puget Sound ESD.President Chapin reported on a KSPS Friends meeting and the financial discussion.CLOSED AND EXECUTIVE SESSIONSMotion: Rocky Treppiedi moved that the board hold a closed session for 45minutes for the purpose of planning or adopting strategies or positions tobe taken during the course of collective bargaining.
