EPA 500 Series Methods for Drinking WaterUnder the authority of The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), these analytical standards were developed by the US EPAEnvironmental Systems Laboratory in Cincinnati (EMSL-Cl). The 500 Series methods are used to monitor establishedmaximum contaminant levels for organic compounds in drinking water. Use of these methods will identify and quantifyorganic chemicals including trihalomethanes and by-products, volatile organic compounds (VOC) pesticides, polycyclicaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), as well as synthetic organic compounds (SOC) in drinking water. In our listing of these EPA Methods, where there are crossovers to other methods, we list the secondary method (e.g. 502/524)as well. Most of the 500 Method compounds are available neat as well as in solutions for our customer’s convenience.METHOD# METHOD DESCRIPTION .......................................................................................................................
