Knowledge will be generally accurate andrelevant. The answer will show some understanding of the focusof the question but may include material which is eitherdescriptive, and thus only implicitly relevant <strong>to</strong> the question'sfocus, or which strays from that focus in places. Attempts atanalysis will be supported by generally accurate factual materialwhich will lack balance in places. The answer will show somedegree of direction and control but these attributes will notnormally be sustained throughout the answer. The candidatewill demonstrate some of the skills needed <strong>to</strong> produce aconvincing essay, but there may be passages which showdeficiencies in organisation.
