Hall Graduation Court, north ofCaruth Administration Building. Three hundred twenty-threegraduates are expected to cross the stage, including 28 in the Masterof Arts in Teaching program. The Commencement address will begiven by Robert McTeer, former president of the Federal ReserveBank in Dallas.McTeer gained a reputation as an independent voice during his36-year career with the Federal Reserve System. Nowa Distinguished Fellow at the National Center forPolicy Analysis (NCPA), he served 14 years aspresident of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.Before joining the NCPA this year, McTeer waschancellor of the Texas A&M University System. Heis a frequent guest on CNBC and has written andspoken extensively.The baccalaureate service, May 12 at 7 p.m. inSid Richardson Center of the Robert T. MasonAthletic-Recreation Complex, will include a sermon by Rick Ufford-Chase, executive director of the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship and areservist representing Christian Peacemaker Teams on theArizona/Mexico border. He has lived and worked on the U.S./Mexicoborder for 20 years, focusing his work on providing direct assistanceto migrants and undocumented persons in the borderlands, and onhelping North American people of faith to better understand thecomplex dynamics of border, immigration, and trade policy.
