Ask if they, or other students can guess the meaning (givethem some clues if necessary). If not, give them a dictionary to look it up andtell the class, or tell them yourself.Soya beans and the Amazon rainforestAsk students to read the text. Give them about 10 minutes. Ask them to think of three comprehension questionsabout the text, and write down the questions and answers on two separatepieces of paper. Give them about 15 minutes to do this.When they have finished ask each pair to swap their question papers withanother pair, but keep the answer paper. <strong>The</strong>n each pair must answer thequestions of the other pair. Give them about 10-15 minutes to do this.When they have finished answering the questions, ask the sets of pairs tocompare their answers, and see if they agree. If not, they must decide whohas the correct answer. While this is happening, make sure that you walkaround the class and check the questions and answers, and settle anydisagreements.Finally, ask the students whether anyone has any questions about the text.Discussion2.
