The term law clerkprovides legal research and writing assistance to the judge and drafts orders, memorandaand opinions. Applicants must be a law school graduate, with bar membership, andpossess excellent research, writing, proofreading, and communication skills.QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify for the position of law clerk on the personal staff of a federaljudge, a person must be a law school graduate, and have demonstrated one of the followingaccomplishments or proficiencies:(a)(b)(c)(d)Standing within the upper 25% of the law school class from a law school onthe approved list of either the American Bar Association or the Association ofAmerican <strong>Law</strong> Schools; orExperience on the editorial board of a law review of such a school; orGraduation from such a school with an LLM degree; orProficiency in legal studies that, in the opinion of the judge, is the equivalentof one of the above.BENEFITS.
