To Our ShareholdersAround the time of the very first EarthDay in 1970, Gerhard J. Neumaier,Frank B. Silvestro, Gerald A. Strobel,P.E., and Ronald L. Frank – fourenvironmental specialists working atthe Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory(Calspan) in Buffalo, NY – formulateda vision for an organization thatwould provide real solutions to thegrowing number of environmentalproblems that were being identifiedaround the world at an acceleratingrate.
