They helped with the medications andalways answered our questions. Dad was very happy andbecame very attached to the nurses.” This large, tight-knitfamily shared visits with Kenneth. Stories were told at hisbedside, laughs were shared, and Kenneth’s candor andquick wit provided the family with many tender memories.Another granddaughter commented, “He felt like hewas being treated as a king, and was given the nicknameThe King’’. The entire Dulin family is grateful for the kindsupport from Talbot Hospice.Since Mr. Dulin’s passing, granddaughter Tina anddaughter Sherry are involved with the Festival of Treesthrough the Friends of Hospice. Last year they decoratedtheir first tree. This year they volunteer as Chairpersons forthe 2012 Distribution Committee. Elsie Mae is interestedin becoming a hospice volunteer and granddaughter inlawPat Serio is interested in taking the next volunteertraining with her school-aged daughter. And continuing as acaregiver volunteer in the Guest Wing, now in her 12 th year,is the Grand Dame of Hospice, Bev Serio!Talbot Hospice is appreciative of the Dulin family fortheir involvement as volunteers. By sharing their story, it ishoped that hospice might reach others in the community. And in the hospice mission of offering hope, compassionatesupport and services to those facing end-of-life, familiesmay continue to create beautiful memories until the veryend, celebrating life and recognizing the precious nature ofeach day.4 410-822-6681 Talbot Hospice www.talbothospice.org
