Signet 5500 Flow MonitorMember of the ProPoint ® Family of MonitorsFeatures• Permanent andresettable totalizers• Two programmablerelays• Fully scaleable active(internally powered)4 to 20 mA output• Tamper proofsecurity code• Non-volatile memory• Intuitive softwaredesignFeaturing analog and digital displays and a remote resettable totalizer.• Programmable pulseoutputsDescriptionThe Signet 5500 Flow Monitor is aninstrument that comes fully equippedwith all of the basic tools needed formonitoring and controlling a flowsystem. The analog dial enables theuser to easily read instantaneous flowrate, while the backlit LCD is usefulfor calibration, setup, and displayingtotalized flow volume. The 5500features a standard ¼ DIN package andremovable wiring terminals. Power theinstrument with virtually any standard24-volt power supply (AC or DC).Connect any one of Signet’s wide array offlow sensors, then consider which outputfeatures are best for your application.System OverviewTwo dry-contact relays can be configuredfor High or Low alarm operation, orthey can be set to pulse operation forchemical dosing applications.Use the internally powered 4 to 20 mAoutput, programmable from the frontkeypad, to send the flow information toany PLC or data logger. If you use all of these output features, you still have two more output pulseterminals, one at sensor frequency, theother triggered by the totalizer. And justfor added convenience, the resettabletotalizer can be reset by a remote hardwiredswitch, up to 30 m (100 ft), or fromthe front keypad.Applications• Waste Water FlowAccumulation• Water TreatmentSystems• Filtration Systems• Feed Pump Pulsing• Fertigation• Irrigation• Commercial Pools& Spas• GroundwaterRemediation• HVAC• Process FlowMonitoring• UPW Distribution• DemineralizerRegeneration• Process CoolingWater• NeutralizationSystemsMEASURING EQUIPMENT77CJFLOWFLOW
