Board. “The country offers 75 congress halls, and many of the

venues for a variety of group activities, Croatia really provides a

Croatia wraps around Bosnia & Herzegovina like a huge letter
“C” that encompasses a “Green” portion (inland mountains and
plains) and a “Blue” portion (the Adriatic coast). The northern part
of the country is primarily made up of the inland, green section,
but the Istrian Peninsula – just a few kilometers south of Trieste Italy
– borders the Adriatic, offering the lure of “The Mediterranean as
it once was.” While many planners may be more familiar with the
country’s southern destinations like Dubrovnik and Split, the north
actually offers the best of both worlds – metropolitan sophistication
and amenities less than 150 km/90 miles from picturesque, historic
seaside towns and unparalleled Mediterranean cuisine.
Metropolitan Sophistication
Zagreb is one of the leading meeting and incentive destinations
in Croatia by virtue of its excellent air, road and train connections
to other European and international cities. The compact, historic
downtown area, with its nine centuries of historic buildings, green
parks and promenades – as well as one of the oldest outdoor cafes
in Europe – is only 17 km/10.5 miles from a well-equipped modern
airport.
