Department/Business Unit: ProcurementFLSA Classification: Exempt (Administrative Exemption)Reports To: Contract Manager<strong>Job</strong> <strong>Description</strong>: <strong>Sr</strong>. <strong>Contracts</strong> <strong>Administrator</strong>Alternative Titles: Subcontracts <strong>Administrator</strong>Revised: February 29, 2012General Purpose: Prepares and assembles bid request documents, bid analysis, negotiation, award and management ofsubcontracts for multiple industrial EPC contracts, on multiple project sites, in accordance with company policies and legalrequirements.Work Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am – 12:00 pm Friday.Responsibilities & Duties Assemble specifications, drawings, schedules, pricing structures, and write detailed scopes of work in a manner that fullydefines the work and expectations required of a subcontractor, including information subcontractors have to know toaccurately price the work Provide multi-discipline expertise for subcontract requirements Facilitate/maintain the subcontractor pre-qualification process Solicit, negotiate, award and manage subcontracts Evaluate multiple subcontractor offerings in a variety of methods, including lump sum, unit rate, and costreimbursable\time & material Maintain audit ready records at all times Assist in determining subcontracting needs of the project, provide input and guidance on needs of the subcontractors toprovide the desired quotes, and report back to the project team with recommendations, concerns, and logical reasoning Work within company policy as outlined in the <strong>Lauren</strong> <strong>Engineers</strong> & Constructors Employee Handbook and in complimentwith the LEC Human Resources Policy Manual, LEC Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules Perform other duties as assignedRequired Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field (consideration for long-term experience on multiple largescale industrial projects in lieu of degree)Required Experience 5 or more years of experience on multiple industrial projects performing multiple responsibilities Comprehensive understanding of multi-discipline construction procurement and contract management Change order management, labor relations, insurance, tax, bonding, domestic and international law, and flow down ofprime contract requirements including schedule and bid requirements Sound background in procurement fundamentals (ethical practice and procedures) Sound understanding of business contract law (both domestic and international) Working knowledge of contact language and legal requirements of contractsRequired Skills/Licenses/Certifications Microsoft Office Ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors in a manner that benefits the company and preserves the subcontractorrelationship Oral communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external clients Written communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and make decisions that benefit the company, as well as taking and implementing directionfrom the project team and supervisors Management, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills Ability to work individually and with small and large groups of the project team<strong>Job</strong> <strong>Description</strong>: <strong>Sr</strong>. <strong>Contracts</strong> <strong>Administrator</strong> Page 1 of 2

There isoccasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, temperature changes, industrial noise, and construction hazardsusually accompanied by business travel and visits to oil, gas, and refining facilities. The constant physical demands of the position are talking and hearing. The frequent physical demands of the position are sitting, standing and walking. The occasional physical demands of the position are carrying, pushing, pulling, handling, repetitive motions, andeye/hand/foot coordination.Travel Requirement This position requires frequent air and over-the-road travelRequired Personal Protective EquipmentEmployees must use hard hats, eye protection (ANSI Z87), hearing protection (where required), safety-toe protective footwear (ANSIZ41) and gloves as required by industry/construction safety standards or as deemed necessary by Company safety policy andprocedure.
