Lost and/or found items may be disposed of after 45 days.Military Refund, Readmission, & Course CompletionThe <strong>College</strong> is committed to compliance with Principles of Excellence standards set by the USDepartments of Education, Defense, and Veterans Affairs. The <strong>College</strong> is also committed tocompliance with NC <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Code related to the enrollment of military reserveand National Guard personnel who receive temporary or permanent reassignments as a resultof military operations that make it difficult or impossible to complete their studies.Accommodations for such military personnel may include:• Readmission to their program of study at the beginning of the next available semester or term.• Full refund of tuition and fees if completion of a semester or term is not possible.• Text book buy back through the <strong>College</strong> bookstore to the extent possible, for textbookspurchased from the bookstore for the affected semester.• Implementation of distance learning technology or other educational technologies to helpsuch students, under the guidance of faculty and administrative staff, to complete courserequirements within a semester or term.• Extended or more liberal application if the <strong>College</strong>’s Incomplete Policy to allow greaterflexibility to complete course requirements within a semester or term.Such students should contact the Dean of <strong>Student</strong> Development to request a refund of tuitionand fees or book buy back. The Dean will review the request and make a recommendation tothe business office. Such students should contact each of their instructors and/or the AssociateDean regarding course completion within a semester or term and the Director of Admissionsregarding readmission for another semester or term. <strong>Student</strong>s should make such contacts assoon as they become aware of orders that will interrupt their studies. A copy of those ordersis required before accommodations can be completed.See WebAdvisor /Moodle / Groupwise E-mailMoodleParking / VehiclesEveryone on campus is expected to follow basic motor vehicle and parking regulations thatpromote a more safe and orderly campus, including:• No person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle upon a roadway in such a manner or undersuch conditions as to block the movement of vehicular traffic.• No person shall park a vehicle at any time on the campus except in spaces marked ordesignated for parking and for which he/she holds a permit. No person shall park in aspace so as to occupy more than one parking space.• <strong>Student</strong> and visitor parking is designated by white lined spaces or gravel parking lots.Faculty and staff spaces are yellow lined spaces. All parking should be head-in parking.• Finding a legal parking space is the responsibility of the vehicle operator.• All bicycles must be parked in a <strong>College</strong>-provided bicycle rack.• Enforcement is the responsibility of the <strong>Wilson</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Police Department.Sanctions for violations may include campus tickets, having the vehicle towed at the owner’sexpense, or having the offending vehicle “booted”. Cars illegally parked in handicappedspaces may also be subject to City of <strong>Wilson</strong> fines.• Complete vehicle and parking regulations are available in the <strong>College</strong> Business Office.44
