This year2010 saw the 250th anniversary of the re-dedication of the present Church of St. Nahi. It also was the 200thanniversary of the opening of St. Nathy’s College, Ballaghadereen. We congratulate our brothers and sistersin St. Nathy’s and wish them many more years of ministry and happiness in the future.During September children from Taney Primary School were shown around St. Nahi’s Church and learntmore about the history and heritage we are privileged to care for. As part of its tour the children producedsome art work which was displayed in the Parish Centre. One work by Hannah Milligan summed up theoccasion well:“In old Dundrum, St. Nahi’s does standBright stained glass windows make it so grand. The small stone church set in its own land.In the graveyard, the Yeats sisters lie hand in hand.Over the years it has changed its view.Of thirty ancient stones it holds just two.To the age of the church this may give a clue. But now still stands proud looking over Dundrum so new.”JOIN US ATTANEY’S CHRISTMAS BAZAARonSATURDAY 4th DECEMBER 2010FROM 10am – 1pmIN TANEY PARISH CENTREMAKE THE MOST OF OUR STALLSAND SHOP EARLY FOR CHRISTMASChrist Church, TaneyA big ‘thank you’ to all those who helped out with the‘Parish Clean-up’ around the grounds of Christ Church.
