Michael is anadvocate and leader <strong>of</strong> the Durham and Triangle communities and serves <strong>on</strong> several boards toencourage growth, entrepreneurship and community development. These boards include: City <strong>of</strong>Durham Workforce Ec<strong>on</strong>omic and Employment Development, East Durham Children’s Initiative, HealingPlace <strong>of</strong> Wake County, Downtown Durham, Inc., NC Rails to Trails, CAHEC, and the <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>of</strong> DurhamHistory.Bryan Huffman is the Executive Branch Director <strong>of</strong> the Durham YMCAs, a divisi<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> the YMCA <strong>of</strong> theTriangle, the 10th largest Y in the country. Bryan has been with the YMCA for 17 years, the last six inDurham. Under his leadership, the Durham YMCAs have become <strong>on</strong>e <strong>of</strong> the premier n<strong>on</strong>‐pr<strong>of</strong>its inDurham serving over 20,000 Durham citizens annually in youth development and healthy living. Bryanhas an undergraduate business degree and an MBA, both from North Carolina State University. He livesin Durham with his wife and two young children.Virginia “Ginger” Jernigan is a graduate <strong>of</strong> C<strong>on</strong>verse College, and a dedicated wife, mother andvolunteer. Her volunteer work has included a l<strong>on</strong>gtime commitment to Christ Church, including servingas President <strong>of</strong> the Altar Guild, as a member <strong>of</strong> the Church Leadership Council, as a member <strong>of</strong> theMinisterial Search Committee, as a Diocesan Delegate, as a Lay Eucharist Minister and as a ChaliceBearer. Ginger was <strong>on</strong> the Junior League <strong>of</strong> Raleigh <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors for many years, serving as aChairman <strong>of</strong> committees and as Treasurer, was <strong>on</strong>e <strong>of</strong> three Ravenscr<strong>of</strong>t Day School's first Aucti<strong>on</strong> Co‐Chairs, an Interact Aucti<strong>on</strong> Co‐Chair, a Co‐Chair <strong>of</strong> the Wake County Heart Ball, and a member <strong>of</strong> the NCTheatre <strong>Board</strong>. She has been a member <strong>of</strong> the Raleigh Fine <strong>Art</strong>s Society for 17 years and <strong>on</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong>Directors for the past 12 years. While serving <strong>on</strong> the RFAS <strong>Board</strong>, she was Chairman <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Art</strong>istsExhibiti<strong>on</strong> (2001‐2002), Secretary (2002‐2003), Treasurer (2007‐2008), President (2008‐2009) and iscurrently Chairman <strong>of</strong> the New Members Committee for 2010‐2011. Ginger lives in Raleigh, NC with herhusband, John, who is a lawyer. They have two children, Lee‐Ashley, a graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Duke</strong> University, andFrank, a graduate <strong>of</strong> Davids<strong>on</strong> College.Stefanie Kahn attended Columbia University (MBA) and Washingt<strong>on</strong> University (BA). Stefanie served <strong>on</strong>the Mary Semans Gala Host Committee 2009. She has served <strong>on</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Carolina Ballet for thepast five years, and the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Raleigh/Cary Jewish Federati<strong>on</strong>. She has been a docent at the NorthCarolina <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Art</strong>. Stefanie worked in Credit Card Marketing at American Express for 10 yearsprior to moving to Raleigh 17 years ago. Stefanie is married to Douglas James Kahn. They have threechildren: Lauren, a senior at <strong>Duke</strong> and Michael, recent graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Duke</strong>, and Daniel, who attends CaryAcademy.David Lindquist has been an antiques dealer, appraiser, author and educator since 1974, when hefinished his Graduate School work in Political Science at <strong>Duke</strong> University and opened a business ratherthan accept a university teaching positi<strong>on</strong>. He c<strong>on</strong>verted his passi<strong>on</strong>ate hobby (and graduate schoolsideline) into a business in order to keep his family in the Triangle‐‐a regi<strong>on</strong> with which they had fallen inlove. David has his undergraduate degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri‐‐his home state.(Ir<strong>on</strong>ically Drury w<strong>on</strong> this years NCAA Divisi<strong>on</strong> II nati<strong>on</strong>al champi<strong>on</strong>ship!) He has served <strong>on</strong> a variety <strong>of</strong>nati<strong>on</strong>al boards in the antiques field (including President <strong>of</strong> The Nati<strong>on</strong>al Associati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> Dealers inAntiques) as well as area civic and church boards. For the past fifteen years he has served as Chairman<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> The Chamber Orchestra <strong>of</strong> the Triangle (www.thecot.org) guiding the effort to create forThe COT a permanent home at the Durham Carolina Theater where over the last fourteen years
