CALL TO ORDERThe President, Graham Lindsay, called the meeting to order at 1040 hrs.2. PRESIDENT’S OPENING REMARKSGraham Lindsay welcomed those present to the <strong>AGM</strong>. He thanked all for their attendance. This hasbeen a year of challenge, with many revisions and reviews to policies and by-laws. The Board hasprovided excellent direction at critical times and has been very responsive to issues with deadlines.The High Performance Program had an extremely successful year, and overall, it had been a goodyear for <strong>Biathlon</strong> in <strong>Canada</strong>.3. ROLL CALL OF DIVISIONSThe President called the roll call to confirm attendance and to establish the number of possiblevotes.4. REGISTRATIONS AND CONFIRMATION OF VOTESThe number of votes that each Division was entitled to cast was verifiedby comparison to paid membership numbers as follows:BC – 4 QC – 4AB – 4 NB – 3YT – 1 NL – 0SK – 1 PE – 1MB – 1 NS – 1ON – 1 NT – 1

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGThe President stated that the notice of the <strong>AGM</strong> was published in accordance with the by-laws ofthe Association by notification to each Division by electronic means and posted on the <strong>Biathlon</strong><strong>Canada</strong> website on April 14, <strong>2009</strong>.6. APPROVAL OF AGENDA OF <strong>AGM</strong> <strong>2009</strong>Motion # 1 “To accept the agenda of the Annual General Meeting.” Moved by Alberta; secondedby Ontario - Carried.7. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF <strong>AGM</strong> 2008 (8 JUNE 2008)Motion # 2 “To accept the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held 8 <strong>June</strong> 2008.” Moved byBritish Columbia; seconded by New Brunswick - Carried.8. AUDITOR'S REPORTIt was noted that the Auditors report was discussed in full at the recent Board Meeting and that, dueto a decision of the Board to seek some changes as well as written clarification of a number ofitems in the draft that was reviewed, is no report to approve at this meeting. The approval will becompleted at a Special General Meeting once the report has been amended as discussed andaccepted by the Board. The Board had suggested that the Executive target 30 September <strong>2009</strong> asa date for the Special General Meeting, with this date dependent on have the necessary changesmade to the report on a schedule to permit such a Special meeting.9. SANCTIONING ACTIONS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORSMotion # 3 “To sanction the actions and decisions of the Board for 2008-<strong>2009</strong>.” Moved by NewBrunswick; seconded by Saskatchewan- Carried.10. BY-LAW AMENDMENTSThere were no amendments this year to vote on.11. APPOINTMENT OF SCRUTINEERSMotion # 4 “To appoint Joanne Thomson and Chris Lindsay as scrutineers.” Moved by Quebec ;seconded by New Brunswick- Carried.12. ELECTION OF OFFICERSa) Vice President AdministrationNominations: Bob Woods – nominated by Ontarioelected to the position by acclamationb) Vice President DomesticNominations: Carol Henley – nominated by Albertaelected to the position by acclamation
