VolunteersHelp WantedOngoing/Individual Volunteer Opportunities:• Our St. Charles Adult Daycare Program (St. Robert BellarmineParish) has a great need for volunteers to help out between 7:00and 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.These volunteers would be involved in things like greeting clientsand their families as they arrive and leave, participating in socialactivities with the clients, and helping with refreshments.• The activities department at Mary Queen and Mother Centerwould like a volunteer who could assist with passing out weeklyschedules on Saturday mornings; a volunteer to help pass out mailMonday through Saturday at 1:30 p.m.; a volunteer to pass thedaily newspapers Monday through Sunday at 9:30 a.m.; and volunteersto help with afternoon activity programs from approximately1:00 to 4:00 p.m.• Our Property Maintenance department (Shrewsbury Campus)needs someone approximately 3 hours per week to help withsome general clerical duties like filing and data entry into aspreadsheet• The gift shop at Mary Queen and Mother Center is looking forvolunteers to work a 4 hour shift on the first, second or fourthSaturday of the month, as well as the first and second Sunday ofthe month and each Monday.• Our St. Ann Assisted Living Facility would like a volunteer whocould accompany residents to doctor’s appointments at the VAHospital on occasion. (Transportation is provided from the assistedliving facility to the doctor’s appointment.)• Pastoral Care at Mary Queen and Mother Center needs volunteersto help transport residents to and from chapel for Rosaryand Mass daily from 9:30 to 11 a.m. (except Wednesdays) and isalso looking for a volunteer organist who could play during Masson the weekend (Saturday and Sunday)• Our Adult Daycare Program (Shrewsbury Campus) would like avolunteer who could help out in the kitchen from 10 a.m. to 2:30p.m. on Wednesday and they could also use some volunteer helpwith activities on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (after 3 p.m.).One-time/Group Volunteer Opportunities:• St. William Apartments in Dardenne Prairie would LOVE to havea small group of volunteers to help with some grounds cleanupand gardening this spring.• St. Joseph and Holy Infant Apartments (Shrewsbury Campus)would appreciate some help with planting their flowers in earlyMay.• St. Clare of Assisi <strong>Senior</strong> Village (in Warrenton) could use somevolunteers to help with painting and some landscape work.• St. Patrick Apartments in Florissant could also use some volunteersto help with a little spring cleanup around their groundsespeciallyto help clean up all the leaves that fell last fall.if you, or anyone you know, would like to volunteer for one of the above opportunities,please contact the development office at (314) 961-8000 ext. 347 or by email at kethington@ccstl.orgApril is National Volunteer Appreciation Month!“Those who can, do.
