Will continue working for the same employer;and5. Currently have valid leave in a Tier 2category (General, Intra-Company Transfer,Minister of Religion, or Sportsperson); and6. Were granted the maximum period of threeyears leave under Tier 2.A separate application form titled ‘Applicationfor a grant of leave and biometric immigrationdocument - application for a Tier 2 Dependantsingle extension of stay up to five years inthe UK’ is available for any dependants whoare applying with you and can be found onthe Home Office website at www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-andimmigration.Who should apply using this form?This application form should only be completedby individuals who are already in the UnitedKingdom. You should use the application formif you:1. Were previously granted less than two yearsleave in one of the following categories:Please note: Turkish nationals who haveaccrued employment rights under Decision1/80 of the Turkey ECAA Association Councildo not require sponsorship. More informationon Decision 1/80 rights is available inImmigration Directorate Instructions Chapter5 Section 10 on our website: www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-andimmigration.• Business & Commercial work permitholder (which includes Intra-CompanyTransfer work permits)• Sports & Entertainment work permitholder• Jewish Agency Employee• Member of the Operational Ground Staffof an Overseas-owned Airline• Minister of Religion, Missionary orMember of a Religious Orderand2. Applied for, and were granted, Tier 2 leavethrough the transitional arrangements in placefor migrants in these categories; and3. Are still working for the same employer(being paid the appropriate salary for the job)that the original Certificate of Sponsorship(CoS) was issued for; andSubmitting a valid applicationYou will only be considered to have submitteda ‘valid’ application if the following has beencomplied with:• the correct application form must becompleted and submitted• your current passport, Biometric ResidencePermit (BRP) if applicable or traveldocument must be provided, unless it is notavailable for one of the reasons specified onthe application form• the mandatory sections in the applicationform must be completed• Two identical passport-size photographs ofyou with your full name written on the backof each one must be suppliedT2 (W) Application Form (Version 12/14) - page 38 of 42
T2 (W) APPLICATION FORM• Two identical passport-size photographs ofany dependants who are applying with youwith their full name written on the back ofeach one must be supplied.• An original letter from the sponsor on officialletter headed paper which clearly statesthat you continue to be employed by thesame sponsor as stated on your Certificateof Sponsorship. This must be from yourexisting grant of leave and the dateemployment is contracted to cease.The photographs provided must be in theformat specified in the separate photographguidance, which can be found on our websiteat www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-and-immigration. Please ensure thatthey are placed in a small sealed envelopeattached to section 2 of the form as instructedthere - and without any staples, clips, pins oranything else which could mark or damagethe photographs.If your application(s) is/are successful, thephotographs provided will be reproduced onthe Biometric Residence Permit.If you are required to register with the policeyou must also include your Police RegistrationCertificate with your application.Biometric Residence PermitYou must be selective in submitting evidence,as sending large amounts of irrelevant orpoor quality documentation may delay theconsideration of the application. It is onlynecessary to submit evidence that is directlyappropriate to the application as requested, asunrelated evidence will not be considered.Any documentary evidence that you provideshould be original (unless otherwise stated).Where a document is not in English or Welsh,the original must be accompanied by a fullycertified translation by a professional translator.This translation must include details of thetranslator’s credentials and confirmation thatit is an accurate translation of the originaldocument. It must also be dated and includethe original signature of the translator.We will return your passport(s) and otherdocuments by recorded delivery. If you wouldlike them to be returned by Special Delivery,you must provide a prepaid Special Deliveryenvelope which is large enough. If yourapplication is successful, your BiometricResidence Permit will be sent to you separatelyby secure delivery.Question-Specific Help TextFurther advice on specific questions in theapplication form is detailed below.A leaflet explaining the Biometric ResidencePermit including the application process isavailable to download at the following location:www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permitsSupporting EvidenceIt is your responsibility to provide the evidenceto support any statements made in yourapplication. You must satisfy us that therequirements for the category under whichyou have applied have been met. We must besatisfied, by considering the evidence providedthat you meet the necessary criteria.B1 - B4 You should provide full details ofyour name and title. If you have previouslybeen known by any other name(s) you shouldprovide full details of each name, the dateof each change and submit the relevantsupporting legal documentation.Evidence of name change(s) should show yourfull name before and after the change and mayinclude:• deed poll documents or marriagecertificates; and,• both the old passport and the new passport.You must ensure that all of the necessarysupporting documentation is provided at thetime the application is submitted.Should you submit documentation in supportof your application that refers to you under aname(s) not given in this section, we will notconsider that documentation.T2 (W) Application Form (Version 12/14) - page 39 of 42
