These components,which take various forms,play an important role in the functionof the entire system.And they must survive difficultconditions: changing weather conditionssuch as rain, storm, frostand heat, and in the case of adownpipe, the extreme loads fromthe high lightning current.The Lightning Protection & EMCTechnology Centre (BET) has testedconnectors of various forms andmaterials thoroughly and foundconsiderable differences.
