ARtSNyABA LeoN oUeDRoGo(BURKiNA FASo)Les mangeuses d’âme(Women soul eaters)The artist’s project is twofold:Firstly, a movie fictionalizing aceremony which occurs in manycountries of Africa: a woman isaccused of being the cause ofsomeone’s death leading to herexclusion from the community.The movie will be shown as aeducational tool to illustrate theinjustice of this tradition.Secondly, the liberating value ofphotos taken by the artistportrays the women whowere actually ostracized« disguised » to give thema different personality fromtheir real ones in order tohelp them regain theirself-esteem.
GLoBAL ACCeSS PRoGRAM...By working with private companies,NGOs, non-profit organization<strong>HRA</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> is activelyinvolved in programs aimed toachieve MDG 5.<strong>HRA</strong> foundation is either participatingin existing structures oracting as a program coordinator.The idea is to enable the variousstakeholders to partner onprograms using their corecompetencies and expertise.GLoBAL ACCeSSPRoGRAMS<strong>HRA</strong> <strong>Pharma</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> providessupport to private sectorto contract with internationalorganization for the supplyof drugs at social prices withthe guarantee that companiesinvolved will work according toUnited Nations Global CompactPrinciples.In <strong>2013</strong>, <strong>HRA</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong>coordinated the supply of nearly700,000 units of emergencycontraception pills at social priceto international organization(i.e. UNFPA, JSI, MEG).Emergency contraceptives pillswere directly delivered to thelocal missions or through thesupply of emergency kit to besent when crisis strikes and familyplanning services are needed.Long Acting ReversibleContraception (LARC)Program Access.The objective of the programis to increase the availability ofhigh quality intra uterine devices(IUDs) in developing countries.To do so, <strong>HRA</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> acted asa project coordinator on programs.So far, IUDs have been deliveredin Bangladesh, Burkina Faso,Cameroon, Gabon, Egypt, India,Indonesia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan,Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Syria,Vietnam. We aim to donate30,000 IUDs within a three years’time period.
