Sun & Moon Visionaries is a non-pr<strong>of</strong>i t organization that<br />

has been delivering successful community based arts and<br />

culture programming <strong>to</strong> urban <strong>Aboriginal</strong> Youth and Artisans<br />

since 1999. Since inception yearly program registration<br />

averages 250+ urban <strong>Aboriginal</strong> youth and their families.<br />

The on-going mission and mandate <strong>of</strong> Sun & Moon Visionaries<br />

is <strong>to</strong> create opportunities for the intergenerational<br />

sharing <strong>of</strong> knowledge, wisdom and culture. Sun &<br />

Moon Visionaries is a place for self expression for urban<br />

<strong>Aboriginal</strong> youth and a sacred space <strong>to</strong> receive traditional<br />

ancestral teachings and participate in cultural ceremonies<br />

with spiritual people. Our free fi ne arts programs include:<br />

Cultural Regalia making, DJ-Learn <strong>to</strong> Spin, Hip Hop and<br />

Break-dancing, Drum Making and Drumming, Cultural<br />

Dance, Cultural Camps and the Street Artist Support<br />

Program, peer men<strong>to</strong>ring, role modeling, one on one<br />

support, and free transportation. <strong>Aboriginal</strong> youth learn <strong>to</strong><br />

showcase their art, further develop their artistic skills and<br />

participate in traditional cultural activities <strong>to</strong> become selfassured<br />

and self-reliant.<br />
