• You will be paid from one hour prior <strong>to</strong> the on-track time <strong>to</strong> thirty minutes after the last checkered flag. You arepaid for your lunch hour and that accumulates <strong>to</strong>ward overtime. As we all know, sometimes there is little or nolunch break. We will do our best <strong>to</strong> give you as much break time as we can. Overtime is paid after 8 hours.• Pay days are every other Friday. I suggest signing up for Direct Deposit now, but it will not take effect for yourfirst event. You can pick up your check on payday at the track; otherwise it will be mailed.• Morning Meeting: One hour prior <strong>to</strong> the first event.• Location: Pit lane at Turn 12.• Worker transportation will be provided from the camping area, which is Lot 15, right next <strong>to</strong> Gate 7 onHighway 121, just down the road from the main entrance.• Day parking for the remaining 2008 events is also Lot 15.• Ice and water will be provided at the morning meeting, along with coffee and donuts.• Sack lunch will be provided. I will bring a variety of sodas and would appreciate donations <strong>to</strong> the soda fund.• Most corner boxes have brackets for umbrellas but you MUST TIE THEM DOWN securely.• Paddock showers are available <strong>to</strong> all workers. For NASCAR there will also be a shower trailer in the 50 acres,across from Lot 15. There may be a fee.Sorry, the track cannot provide alcoholic beverages at the end of the day.You will need <strong>to</strong> sign the event waiver when you arrive. Day Parking: Lot 15. Use Gate 7. (see map). You DO need a parking pass. Two 15-passenger vans will be there forour exclusive use <strong>to</strong> get us from this lot <strong>to</strong> the track, and also <strong>to</strong> our turns.I would like <strong>to</strong> have a few more people willing <strong>to</strong> drive the vans if needed. To do so you must agree <strong>to</strong> have a DMVreport run. Please contact Liz by June 11th if you are willing <strong>to</strong> do this.Worker Camping: Lot 15. Use Gate 7. (see map). You DO need a camping pass. Camping will be shared with<strong>Infineon</strong> Ambassadors but not specta<strong>to</strong>rs. Paddock showers are available <strong>to</strong> workers all weekend. There will also be ashower trailer in the 50 acres, across from Lot 15 (there may be a fee for that one.)Note about Worker Camping that we learned at Wine Country: There is a Supervisor for Lot 15. His name is Rich.He will be there in a 5th wheel parked along the back fence. He will tell you where worker camping/parking is. Pleasepark where he asks you <strong>to</strong>. The area along the fence line all around the lot is reserved for Ambassadors. If in doubt, askfor Rich or Jim and they will help you.Morning meetings: On Friday and Saturday, 7:30 at Turn 12 in the pit lane. On Sunday let's plan on 12:00 noon. Youare paid for your time starting at the morning meeting until one half hour after the end of the event. Overtime startsafter 8 hours. For NASCAR Sunday you will be paid 8 hours.Brad Stewart, Sandy Jones, and Melanie Durandette will be managing the workers for this event. Bob Missbachwill be the starter for the Legends series.Dress code: Corner workers - White pants and white shirts, no exceptions. Starters - Khaki or black pants, white shirts.All - No red or yellow shirts or jackets.Coffee and donuts: Will be provided in the morning.Lunch: Please note that there is no lunch "break" on the schedule. We will deliver lunches. There should be ampledown time <strong>to</strong> relax a little. Sack lunch will be provided. Water and ice will also be provided each morning and morewater at lunch. Soda fund: I will bring a variety of sodas but would appreciate donations <strong>to</strong> the soda fund.Sunday after the race: Let's barbecue like last year. Lot 15. Plan on bringing something <strong>to</strong> share. Would someone like<strong>to</strong> coordinate the BBQ for everyone? Please let us know.Pay day: July 4th.Please review the Flagging guidelines. These will apply <strong>to</strong> the Legends series only. Be prepared <strong>to</strong> be flexible.Flags for NASCAR: Local situation - spin, crash, oil, debris = blue flag (NASCAR will give us the blue flags). Yellowflags are ONLY given by command of Race Control and signal the end of a practice session, or a pace car situationduring a race. Yellow flags are always single waving yellow for NASCAR.At NASCAR it is important <strong>to</strong> watch the course for debris. Please bring binoculars if you have them.*On Friday, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying starts at 4:05. This is single-car qualifying. Flags are not neededfor this session. We will release all but 10 corner workers at this time, as we just need a minimal staff <strong>to</strong> keep an eye onthings. We will need someone on Comm only at Turns 1, 2, 3A, 7, 8, 8A, 9, 10, 11 and 12. We expect qualifying <strong>to</strong> last2 <strong>to</strong> 2-1/2 hours.Thanks and see you there,Liz
