Shaw has been named asmanaging director, Public Policy andLegal, for Certified Financial PlannerBoard of Standards, Inc. The organizationis the professional regulatory bodyfor more than 55,000 professionals holdingcertified financial planner certification.Shaw comes to CFP Board withmore than 13 years of experience as alegal practitioner, particularly in theareas of public policy formulation andexecution. Michael Lyles has declared hisintention to run for mayor of Bowie,Md. He has held the District 4 CityCouncil in the town seat since 2004. A14-year resident of Bowie, Lyles is a trialattorney for the Department of Defense.He is also a former president of theColumbus School of Law’s Black LawStudent Association.Hon. Cheryl Nora Moss was elected asa district court judge for the state ofNevada in 2000. Judge Moss was reelectedin 2002 and is currently serving asix-year term.
