It’s at the centre of the Pudong area. I still can remember when I first came to the Germen Centre for theinterview last year, I was impressed by the quietness and professionalism here in the office. At thattime the office was still located on the 7th floor. From then on I made up my mind to try my best towork in the German Centre. I knew about the German Centre from one of my friends. She worksat the German Centre in Beijing and she introduced me to the German Centre. It’s very convenient to workand live here. I am completingmy third 12-year-cycle and am lookingforward to that – somehow I like havingspecial birthdays to celebrate in addition tothe usual ‘round’ ones every ten years.Also, I keep reading reassuring articles ineconomic journals about ‘the ox bringingmore stability’ which we all hope is true,of course. Besides, I like the idea of beingconsidered a stable, reliable sort of person– if just by virtue of my birth year.As a vegetarian, I rely heavily on dairy products,too. That makes cows even more importantin my life. And not just as a sourceof calcium, but simply enjoyment: whatbetter to top a nice piece of cake than a bitof freshly whipped cream?
