Miller’s 25 year involvement withthe Redding Certified Farmers Marketwas remembered by fellow farmersand market growers alike. The ShastaGrowers Association will honor Millerby renaming its Tuesday market theMarilyn Miller Market. Her dedicationto organic and commitment to supplyingquality produce was invaluable andher presence will be missed greatly.Diane Joy Goodman, CCOF recommendedorganic consultant, two-timechair of the California Organic FoodsAdvisory Board (now the CaliforniaOrganic Products Advisory Committee)and former member of the NationalOrganic Standards Board, passed awayfrom acute liver failure at the age of61. From farm to farmers’ market stand,her longstanding commitment to theorganic movement has been felt atall levels. Goodman’s leadership andsupport has influenced producers andconsumers alike.
