...Operation “Home Delivery” continued<strong>Habitat</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Humanity</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> partnered with <strong>Habitat</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Humanity</strong> <strong>of</strong> Nassau during the week <strong>of</strong> February 13th to buildtwo frames <strong>for</strong> two <strong>Habitat</strong> families in Beaumont, Texas - a community devastated by Hurricane Rita (see pictures atleft). This project was the culmination <strong>of</strong> successful fundraising ef<strong>for</strong>ts from many different organizations, religious andschool groups, benefit concerts, individuals and associations.<strong>Habitat</strong> received donations <strong>of</strong> materials from Sherwood Lumber and was equally blessed with a donation <strong>of</strong> a truck fromthe Natuzzi Brothers Ice Company. She believes that a safe, af<strong>for</strong>dable home is crucial in havinga successful future. Stacey is excited to have the opportunity to work as FamilyServices Coordinator with <strong>Habitat</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Humanity</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> in helping people notonly have a home but provide a future <strong>for</strong> their families.Tim Fowler is not just our newest construction supervisor, he is also one <strong>of</strong> ournewest homeowners (see page 4). Doing Sweat Equity was not Tim Fowlers firsttaste <strong>of</strong> construction. Since graduating high school he has worked in the field, currentlyemployed by R.C Henderson Stair Company. Already planning on continuingwith <strong>Habitat</strong> as a volunteer once his mandatory workdays were complete, Tim wasdelighted to accept our <strong>of</strong>fer to work <strong>for</strong> us as Saturday supervisor. He sees it as anatural response: “helping others just as I was helped.”
