It should be noted, however, that many of the smaller tributaries in thecatchment appear never to have been surveyed. Additionally, as previously noted,surveys in lacustrine habitat have been extremely limited in extent and thereforeno data relating to lochs has been included in the maps for the purposes of thisreport.Electro-fishing data on the Beauly system has been collected annually since 2000.However, not all sites have been visited each year, sites selected have includedstocked areas and there have been differences in methodology adopted bysurveyors. As such, it is difficult to reach any meaningful conclusions with regardto changes in density, growth etc from available data.14
