The AADSM Program will be presentedthrough lectures, panel discussions, open discussions anddemonstrations.The AADSM 22 nd Annual Meeting sessions teach participantsa basic knowledge of dental sleep medicine; a knowledge of theepidemiology and pathophysiology of obstructive sleep apnea(OSA) in adults and children; new diagnostic tests for OSA;understanding of the use of mandibular repositioning and tongueretaining devices in the treatment of OSA; and a knowledge ofsurgical options in the treatment of OSA.TARGET AUDIENCE:The program of the AADSM 22 nd Annual Meeting is intendedfor dentists and dental professionals who are currently treatingpatients with obstructive sleep apnea or snoring through theutilization of oral appliance therapy. The AADSM 22 nd AnnualMeeting is also intended for dentists, physicians, and dentalprofessionals who are seeking an in-depth introduction to dentalsleep medicine and oral appliance therapy.AADSM 22 nd Annual Meeting Learning Objectives:1. Acquire knowledge about the management of obstructivesleep apnea in both adults and children;2. Discuss state-of-the-art knowledge of recent advances indental sleep medicine and sleep apnea treatment;3. Review the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea,cardiovascular disease and other associated co-morbidities;4. Understand the evidence regarding long-term oral appliancetherapy, including potential side effects and optionsfor managing complications in patients with snoring and/or OSA; and5.
