Itsoutstanding knowledge and methods ensure that the formulasare produced with the utmost respect for the life force of plantsand guarantee that we are leaving a light footprint on the planetwhile enriching the lives of the people we work with.It all begins with the crucial seed selection: the quality of ourformulas ultimately depends on the quality of seeds that areselected to grow the plants that provide our raw ingredients. Ourplants are grown from the best botanical species and sub-speciesand the healthiest seeds. Cultivation is all about trust and werely on a worldwide community of farmers who understand theprinciples of environmentally responsible cultivation.Harvesting is the reward of patience and knowledge. Thereforeplants are all harvested according to their distinctive requirementsand growing conditions. This means that different plants areharvested in different ways. Roses, for example, are hand pickedat dawn because that is when their fragrance is strongest, whilelavender needs to be harvested at mid-day because its essentialoils are most abundant under the high sun.In order to successfully retrieve the purest plant ingredientspossible, our partner uses plant-specific distillation methods forour precious essential oils, gentle cold pressing for seed oils andbase oils, and custom, in-house extraction processes for ourorganic plant extracts.But extraction is not the only essential in treating raw materials inthe right way. Proper storage of plant ingredients is essential topreserving the benefits and life force of each plant. Therefore allingredients are stored in airtight containers, and light protectionand temperature controls are imposed when necessary.Quality control during our processes is of utmost importanceand our partner Primavera will never consider using synthetics,parabens or genetically modified plants. Instead we use certifiedorganic ingredients, plant-friendly methods, food-grade andorganic emulsifiers, 100% natural fragrances and a naturalpreservation system.All SERENE HOUSE fragrances are hand-blended in accordancewith the high demands of our formulas. Blending the rightfragrance is an art in itself and we take pride in doing it in waysthat preserve the life energy, and sensory benefits, of our plantingredients. Oxygen exposure is minimized during bottling toavoid compromising freshness. Our special filling protocol –bottling is always overseen by our partner – means that only thefreshest possible oils reach our customers.
