Cardiology in the Young (<strong>CitY</strong>) 2010 andFirst ESC Advanced Course on GUCH<strong>CitY</strong> and GUCHIn 2010 the first European <strong>Society</strong> of Cardiologyadvanced course on Grown Up Congenital HeartDisease will be held during the week of the<strong>CitY</strong> conference, with a joint programme on theWednesday. Delegates registered for <strong>CitY</strong> will havethe option to stay until Thursday lunchtime to join thewhole 1½ day GUCH course, or just to attend theMon-Wed <strong>CitY</strong> programme.Who should attend Cardiology in theYoung 2010?Cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, nurses,technicians and trainees in all of these disciplines,dealing with cardiac patients across the ageboundaries from foetus to adult.Hands-on Breakfast SessionsThese exciting and practical workshops will runconcurrently from 8-9am each day. The topics for2010 include:• MRI/CT• 3D Echo• NIRS• Berlin Heart• Anatomy for surgeons• Video of How I do anALCAPA operation• Pacing• Functional EchoMeasures• Transition• ICDs• Pacing• TOE• Exercise testing• How to put in a valveParallel Cardiac Nursing DaysThere will be 2 Nurses’ Days, on Tuesday andWednesday, running parallel with the mainprogramme and sharing some of the lectureswhere appropriate. Nurses will be asked to registerseparately for these days – if you are a nurseattending the <strong>CitY</strong>/GUCH main meetings you havethe option to attend Nursing Day sessions instead ofthe main meeting, but you must register in advanceas places are limited.
