John Wesley, one of the founders of the MethodistChurch, once said, “It seems God is limited by ourprayer life—that He can do nothing for humanityunless someone asks Him.” It is vital that Christians pray, not just for themselves and their own needs, but also fortheir nation and those in authority. In the United States, 2008 is a presidential election year, and during election years, we are constantly bombardedwith radio and television ads telling us whom we should andshould not vote for.
