Even if there was collection, it is termed as illegal and the people have to face theatrocities <strong>of</strong> the Forest Department.Such severe restrictions have led to growing food insecurity among the people and the worst hit arethe women and children who suffer from malnutrition.The graph below shows the hardly 59% <strong>of</strong> the population <strong>of</strong> Sunabeda manage to get onesquare meal food daily. About 24% <strong>of</strong> the population gets less than one square meal per day.38
