Dear ladies & gentleman,
respected colleagues!
A cordial welcome to the 9th European Congress for Nursing Personnel interested
in Stomacare, Incontinence Care and Woundcare in Salzburg!
It is a great pleasure and honour for the members of the Association of
Austrian Stomatherapists (ÖVET) to organize this year’s International Congress.
We have arranged an interesting main program and, supported generously
by our sponsors, we are able to offer also an attractive side program.
This year’s congress is under the motto “Bringing onto European Stage: Stomacare,
Incontinence Care, Woundcare“. Lectures, workshops and discussions
will focus on these three main topics presenting the scientific status quo.
Especially in the field of stomacare, incontinence care and woundcare new
findings in medicating and nursing and new therapies lead to a permanent
expansion and improvement of daily nursing routine. This necessitates new
competences, educative abilities, organization and coordination of supplies,
an extension of nursing action and a new understanding of responsabilities.
The abundant program should give the participants a broad view on which
nursing methods and concepts have to be considered for further integration
into nursing practice enhancing thus the well-being of our clients.
Furthermore the congress should give you the opportunity to exchange your
experiences and to discuss common European perspectives (concerning education,
distribution of competences and more) and their future development.
Congress schedules you will find in the included program flyer. Simultaneous
translation into five languages will hopefully enable intensive discussions and
knowledge-transfer.
We hope that all participants of the congress will profit not only from the
interesting and enriching program but also from the opportunity to encounter
new people and to experience the beautiful city of Salzburg.
