5Time is money! The success of a scaffolding project largely depends on the timetaken to assemble the scaffold. The scaffold area, material requirements and relevant regulations arefixed parameters that cannot be influenced by contractors. However, the time factor can be influenced. Using well designedaccessories to reduce costly improvisation to a minimum will giveyou the decisive head start and consequently the competitive edge.

48,3 MM THE UNIVERSAL48.3 mm or 2 „ - that is the one dimension, the universal dimension in scaffolding. Whether itbe standards in modular scaffolds, frames in facadescaffolds, top or bottom flanges in lattice girders, scaffold tubes made of steel or aluminium - they allhave the same diameter. This enormously facilitates theintelligent use of scaffold accessories, from planningto application.Tubes and couplers - inseparable6Scaffold tubes: we have manufactured and deliveredour scaffold tubes in the same, consistent high qualityfor decades. Variations in diameters, wall thicknessesor alloys at the expense of safety or cost-efficiency arenot permissible. We are fully aware of our responsibilityin this area.Scaffold tubes made of steel come in the standardized length of 6 metres; aluminium tubes are alsoavailable in 8 metre lengths. In addition, we offer cut lengths in metric dimensions or customized cutlengths according to customers‘ needs.Production in the rhythm of time – just in time, and designed to fitUltra-modern manufacturing equipment ensures the proven, superior product quality from-scafom-rux.Besides its own production facilities, scafom-rux employs numerous small and medium sizedmanufacturing partners to ensure prompt delivery of the complete product range..In addition to process control and quality assurance our main focus is on flexible pro ductionscheduling for reliability in meeting all our customers’ demands.Of course individual customised projects or mini-series also have their proper place in thisorganisational structure. We want to be able to respond to your special requirements at short notice and withtop quality products at any time. Can there be any better way to win the loyalty of ourcustomer base?

Scaffold coupling - just as important as scaffold tubes - is primarilyresponsible for safety in scaffolding. A lot depends on it, and a lot isheld in place by it, often entire scaffolding structures.Scaffold couplers were originally developed as joints to connect twoscaffold tubes either vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Today theyserve as the basis for many products that stand for the efficiency of thescafom-rux range of accessories. On account of their corrugated innersurface, the scaffold couplings’ propertieshave been significantly improved comparedto conventional scaffold couplings that havea smooth inner surface.7Standard couplerSwivel couplerTension couplerStandard reduction couplerStair couplerSquare timber couplerGravity lock couplerToe board couplerShore couplerHalf-couplerCarrier couplerScrew-on coupler

FIRM GROUNDThe base of every scaffold is made of high grade St 52 steel.Scafom-rux threadedbase jacks not only support the scaffold, but also bear the responsibility for compensatingany unevenness in the ground surface.8Since the ground surface conditions are apt to vary a great deal, scafom-rux offers a choice of severalstandard solutions.Triangular columns - an all-purpose talentWith a load bearing capacity of up to 110 kN, scafom-rux triangular columns areperfectly suited as load-bearing elements for supporting scaffolds, large ceilingscaffolds and other special structures. In a horizontal position and combined with flange wheels, they provide an ideal basefor large mobile scaffolds or suspended scaffolds.

MOBILEWith swivel castors, fixed castors for heavy loads andflange wheels from 7.5 to 30 kN load capacity, theyget things moving.9Mobile scaffolds constitute an extremely cost efficientalternative to full scaffolding in many cases, alreadysaving a lot of time and material in assembly anddismantling - alternative solutions that pay offdirectly.Whether on level ground, steel tube rails or triangular columns - the scope of application isvirtually unlimited.

BRIDGINGIn spite of their dimensions, scafom-rux bridging solutions arelight and easy to handle - thus saving you time and ready cash.• bridging of oversized gateways• platforms for large scale ceiling repairs• brick guard at the top lift• reinforcement for scaffolding structures10Scafom-rux lattice girders - to bridge anything, support anything and cope with anythingScafom-rux lattice girders show star qualities whenused in heavy duty hall structures or for the assemblyof weather protection roofs at great heights. But theyare also a scaffolding contractor‘s first choice whenit comes to bridging jobs on facade scaffolds or the assemblyof working platforms and suspended scaffolds. The extremely rigid steel lattice girders are available in heights of 45cm, 75 cm or in a heavy duty version with a height of 100 cm.Light as a feather: aluminium lattice girders are really light and easyto handle in spite of their dimensions.Easy combination with other elements. Couplerscan be fastened comfortably between the welded-onrungs.Several lattice girders can be combined with tubeconnectors into one compact, stable unit. A choice ofdifferent models is available, with all elements beingeasy to assemble.

To bridge more than just time - the scafom-rux aluminium gangwayWith a maximum length of 10.20 m, the scafom-ruxaluminium gangway is a genuine jack-of-all-trades inscaffolding. Thanks to the exclusive use of aluminiumin its production, the aluminium gangway is a practicaland simultaneously robust part, to be used over andover again in daily practice. With the insertion of additional guard-rail post holders, standard elements such as back rails, toeboards orguard-rail posts from the system scaffold can befastened to it, thus forming a three-part guard railaccording to the DIN 4420 standard. System-independent,yet with a system– a unique concept available only fromscafom-rux.Something for real suspension - RUX H beams11A first-class technical alternative to scafom-ruxaluminium gangways is the scafom-rux aluminium Hbeam. Its main area of application is for large-scalebridging and in ceiling scaffolds. It is designed toallow for maximum flexibility and creativity in planninga scaffold.Absolutely safe - scafom-rux holding clawsScafom-rux holding claws are fastening elementsspecially developed for large suspended scaffolds.Especially for use in production halls and warehouseswhile work is in progress, where vertical standardswould be in the way, suspended scaffolds for work onceilings are a highly efficient solution.scafom-rux safety claws are compatible with all most commonlyused steel girders in roof structures.

NON-SYSTEM DECKINGFor ages, our scaffolding planks have already fulfilledthe strict criteria of the S 10 category according to DIN4074, offering users maximum protection and safety. If desired, we will fit your decking with corrugatediron hoops or iron hoops embossed with your nameto extend the service life of your timber planks.Non-system steel decking with anti-skidsurface12The use of non-system timber planks is mandatoryin many applications and makes sense. However, therequirements for modern industrial scaffolds stipulatethat timber decking must be replaced by othermaterials. Therefore, as a substitute for timber planks,scafom-ruxhas developed an innovative type of steel plank whichstands out by easy handling properties, light weightand high stability.Displacement impossible: steel decking withintegrated anti-skid propertiesIn modern industrial scaffolding projects, the use oftimber planks is being abandoned in favour of nonsystemsteel planks. However, steel lying on steel iseasily dislodged. Therefore, additional precautions were necessary upto now to keep the planks safely in place. The newnon-system steel decking from scafom-rux comescomplete with anti skid safety. An integrated rubberstrip keeps the steel planks safely in place right fromthe start. Scafom-rux scaffolds require no additionalprecautions against displacement unless they areexposed to high wind loads.Tilt lock made of high-strength spring steel

LOGISTICS SOLUTIONSTraditional scaffolding is really all about transportationand storing of materials. The contractor’s limited warehouse capacity mustbe used just as efficiently as the forwarding capacityfor transportation to building sites, in order to avoidwasting resources and money.13We at scafom-rux have a tradition of placing greatemphasis on optimal tools for optimal logistics.Logistics is the main topic in every discussion aboutthe cost efficiency of scaffolds, since, after all, scaffoldingcontractors invest on average up to 90 % of theirtime in transporting materials. We have understood: as in the past, the main focus ofinnovation at scafom-rux is on improved solutions fortransport and easy handling.Extremely light, designed for easy handling and withoptimal dimensions= economising on your resources!Ask for solutions from the logistics range.

WHERE “SMALL THINGS”Scafom-rux anchoring technology includes thecomplete range of steel shore tubes with eye screws, permanent anchor bolts and dowels.Cap for rawl plugsEye screw14Headless screwNylon rawl plugIngenious and simple: the permanent anchor remainsfastened to the facade and is connected to the scaffoldby means of a screw-on shore tube. The GIGANT tie tester allows exact measurement of thestrength of scaffold ties with a measuring range from 0to 10.00 kN for eye screws of any length, regardless of whether you fasten the tester to a standardcoupling on a vertical frame, or use the matchingsupport cylinder to connect it to the wall. Testing willhave no adverse effect on the pull-out breaking cone.

DEWALT AND RUX – A PARTNERSHIPDeWaltWe have maintained a successful partnership with DeWalt for many years.True to the motto “from professionals for professionals”, we offer you a rangeof tooling that features compatibility of rechargeable batteries. Often severaldifferent appliances are used on a building site - as a rule at least one hammerdrill to drill the anchoring holes, but frequently also various types of saws, forinstance to shorten scaffold planks. With DeWalt products, you will alwayshave the right cableless tool to hand.16Protection cover for modular scaffoldings and couplers -Protection of pedestrians at transitions, bottlenecks etc.Protection cover forcoupler connectionswith reflectorMat for base jack, with reflectorProtection cover forstandard, completeProtection cover fortube ends, withreflectorProtection coverwithout reflectorProtection cover forstandard, with ledgeromission

MILLERWithout a net or double floor?Modern safety devices are designed so that theyhardly hamper the work of the person whom theyprotect. Lightweight materials with an optimal fit andcomfortable to wear offer a high degree of safety andstill the necessary freedom for carrying out work evenat great heights.Easy rescueIn the event of an accident on the scaffold, thevictim’s colleagues have 20 minutes to rescuehim before the dreaded hanging trauma can setin. With the use of life saving equipment, theperson can easily be rescued within that time.17Put a leash on your staffAs a scaffolding contractor, you bear the fullresponsibility for the safety of your employees. To be “on the safe side” in the true sense ofthe word, we recommend consistent use ofsafety equipment to reduce the residual risk ofaccidents to a minimum.

WELL COVEREDProven standard products IScafom-rux tarpaulins are favourably priced, quicklymounted and effective in protecting building sites. This also applies to scaffolding nets. Both theseproducts have their traditional place in a scaffoldingcontractor’s business when it comes to protectingpeople, materials and buildings.Proven standard products IIMesh-reinforced tarpaulins are a classic among weatherprotection systems. They have been a typical sighton building sites for decades on facades, in factoriesand in offshore applications. In view of their price-performance ratio, there is no endto the success story in sight.18What makes sense in which case? The umbrella for the scaffoldscafom-rux shrink foilscafom-rux shrink foil is the most favourably pricedand effective means of completely sealing a buildingsite. The application of scafom-ruxshrink foil is extremely easy:Shrink foil adjusts itself! The fl exibility of shrink foil is ingenious. There is nogrid dimension, form, special structure, corner, inshort, virtually nothing that could prevent the use ofshrink foil.just wrap the foil round thescaffold, then heat the overlappingpiece of foil with the burner tomake it adhesive. To start the shrinking process, passthe burner across the bays at somedistance; this will cause the foil tocontract and seal everything. If a piece of foil gets damaged, simply cut off another piece andstick it on - that’s all.19scafom-rux weather protection transomsThe scafom-rux weather protection transom hasbeen developed to protect buildings, scaffolds andworkers against the effects of the weather from above.Combined with a keder tarpaulin or a simple scaffoldtarpaulin, it provides an ideal solution. Its decisive advantage is that it protects the top liftof a scaffold covered with a tarpaulin and closes theinevitable gap between the scaffold and the wall.Flexible in every respect to fi t every scaffoldWeather protection transoms can be connected toany vertical tube. Factors such as bay length, scaffoldwidth, logical grid dimensions or their absence, ordistance from the wall have no infl uence on the applicabilityof this practical scaffold element.• Favourably priced• Mounted in a jiffy• Infi nitely adjustable

PUBLICITY FOR GOOD NAMEinscriptionMarking of property to prevent theft20paintingembossed fittingsFor decades, it has been a good practice amongscaffolding contractors to protect their own materialsfrom theft or mix-up on building sites by markingthem with their names. In this area, scafom-rux offersan extensive range of solutions for professionalmarking and inscription. From branding irons for branding of timber scaffoldelements and edge fittings with integrated embossednames to toeboards with painted-on logos, there ishardly any important scaffold element that cannotbe marked effectively to prove beyond doubt whoseproperty it is.scafom-rux trainingDear friends and partners,With our scafom-rux TRAINING seminarprogramme, we want to provideyou with insights tailored to the needsof our industry. No “useless blah blah”, but reallystrenuous trainingTake advantage of this opportunity! We look forward to your participation. But who has the time for such things?Scafom-rux offers you an opportunity to have manyof your scaffold elements marked prior to delivery, which saves you having to fit this process into yourown work schedule. Scaffold elements often have tobe moved on to building sites immediately followingtheir delivery, which means that the time for havingthem marked by the contractor’s own employeesis generally not available. Therefore working withelements that have not been marked is a frequentpractice. This can very quickly lead to loss ofmaterials and considerable financial loss. If you takethis into account at an early stage when planningyour investments and placing your orders, that is, byusing our service, you will make a substantial contribution to the longtermsafety of your material inventory.
