Von to negotiate wi<strong>th</strong> Pauline re training as an editor.A motion was put to <strong>th</strong>e committee by Carmen and seconded by Ilsa <strong>th</strong>at Vonbe added to <strong>th</strong>e website management – <strong>th</strong>e <strong>Committee</strong> unanimously approved<strong>th</strong>e motion• How can we promote and sustain <strong>th</strong>e website what do we need to dofor a contingency plan?Sue Roach and Von have volunteered to be involved wi<strong>th</strong> <strong>th</strong>e websitemanagement. This will help wi<strong>th</strong> contingency plans. (Pauline is on leave fromJune) Proforma /role responsibilities and access codes need to be identified.• What ongoing costs are involved in maintaining <strong>th</strong>e website and whoprovides <strong>th</strong>ese services?Database web hosting (at <strong>20</strong>%discount) $2<strong>20</strong>/yearDomain Non commercial AustralianOrganisation: .org au or not for profitorganization operating in Australia.Currently $35/2years.All ArtEd posts and images are stored on server,<strong>th</strong>ereare 8 postings on homepageas more posts go on o<strong>th</strong>ers drop offand are archived. Most frequentlychanged posts are <strong>th</strong>e meeting news/calendar.


A review is called for next January of <strong>th</strong>e comparable costs for database webhosting.• Who is presently involved wi<strong>th</strong> <strong>th</strong>e maintenance of <strong>th</strong>e website?Brendan Hibbert –designer and technical support-does not become involved atall in making any postings but does have administrator role,unpaid role.Therewas discussion as to Brendan’s membership status. (eg: Convenor compiles minutesforwards to all members present at meeting for review <strong>th</strong>en forwards finalrecord to President/ Vice President/Secretary and to webmaster forposting . Secretary <strong>th</strong>en responsible for forwarding <strong>th</strong>e sub committeerecords to all o<strong>th</strong>er memers of <strong>th</strong>e <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Committee</strong>ConstitutionConstitution Report – Pauline outlined how <strong>th</strong>e subcommittee is workingwi<strong>th</strong> model rules as a skeleton wi<strong>th</strong> reference to ArtEd’s constitution,


There is a meeting next week to arrive at a timeline for producing a draftwhich will <strong>th</strong>en go to membership.Ilsa Bennion will be <strong>th</strong>e committee’s contact person for Pauline .General Business• The <strong>Committee</strong> discussed item 41, in regards to its meaning, in relation to<strong>th</strong>e 'appointment' by <strong>th</strong>e <strong>Committee</strong> of a new <strong>Committee</strong> member onresignation of an existing <strong>Committee</strong> member.• The meeting sought clarification of selection criteria <strong>th</strong>at is to be put inplace when a committee member resigns and a replacement person isappointed• The committee will identify selection criteria based on <strong>th</strong>e constitution touse in <strong>th</strong>e replacement process in order to provide transparency to <strong>th</strong>eArted Membership• National Curriculum for <strong>th</strong>e Arts Forum in Sydney on 3 rd MayDiscussion was held <strong>th</strong>at <strong>th</strong>e ArtEd Assoc needed to be represented at<strong>th</strong>is Forum, Gen volunteered to follow <strong>th</strong>is up wi<strong>th</strong> Robyn Smi<strong>th</strong> atCurriculum Council so <strong>th</strong>at ArtEd has feedback.Close
