Rules Of Play For <strong>Club</strong> ChampionshipsThe <strong>Club</strong> Championship will consist of two qualifying rounds of eighteen holes stroke play, followed byMatch Play. In the <strong>Club</strong> Championships the 8 th qualifier will be decided by a sudden death playoff onthe Sunday morning prior to the quarter finals commencing. In B, C, D grades all ties for qualifiers willbe decided by count back. All matches over 18 holes except the final of the <strong>Club</strong> championship, whichwill be over 36 holes. Eligibility to compete in the <strong>Club</strong> Championships requires a male member whosehome club is other than <strong>Shepparton</strong> <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong>, to have played a minimum of five competitive singlesrounds at the <strong>Shepparton</strong> <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong> in the twelve months prior to the entry closing date. In exceptionalcircumstances permission to compete may be granted on application to the Match Committee.Eight qualifiers will contest the Open, B, C & D Grade Championships in <strong>2013</strong>. After the completion ofthe first qualifying round, the Match Committee will assess the handicaps of competitors who haveentered the Championships and ensure that there are a balanced number of participants in each grade.The Match Committee reserves the right to alter the handicap sections based on the number ofentrants contesting the Championships.Should a player from a lower grade qualify for the Open Event following the 2 nd qualifying round, thatplayer will have the option of contesting the Open Championship. This player must inform the Captain(or representative) on the day of completing the 2 nd qualifying round of their intention to play in theOpen Event.All play will be under medal round conditions. Players commencing in A, B, C or D divisions willremain in that Division, for the remainder of the ChampionshipsJunior ChampionshipBest aggregate score over two qualifying rounds by players under 18 years of age at date of firstround.Veteran ChampionshipBest aggregate score over two qualifying rounds by a player aged 55 or over at date of first round.Honour Board EventsGMCU Fourball, Captain’s Trophy, RSL Trophy, legacy Trophy, H.F. Lightfoot Mixed CanadianFoursomes, Lawton Family Perpetual Trophy.Special Events*Denotes Monthly MedalMedallist of the Year to be played in conjunction with Lawton Family Perpetual Trophy. Twelve medalwinners to play off, lowest nett score on the day to be the winner.
