Installation rulesInstallation of adaptors for 24°/37° couplings to ISO 8434-1Installation1- Slide the nut and the collar over the tube as shown in the illustration.2- Flare the tube by means of flaring tools or a flaring machine. The flare diameter DB must not be beyond thelimits given in the table below. The flare cone must be square to the tubular axis and concentric to thecollar. The inner cone must be clean and free of burrs.3- Insert the adaptor into the coupling body and press the flared tube onto the adaptor. Screw on the nut, byhand, then, tighten with a spanner until the adaptor is pressed securely into the coupling body.When torque needs to be intensified, tighten the nut approximately 1/4 turn more. Each time the connectionis slackened, it can be retightened without any intensified torque.tube o.d.DB min.DB max.6 8 10 12 14 15 16 18 20 22 25 28 30 35 38 429,1 11,3 13,1 15,3 18,6 19,1 20,6 23,2 25,6 26,5 31,1 32,7 37 41,8 46 48,810,0 12,0 14,0 16,0 19,6 20,0 22,0 24,0 26,8 27,5 33,0 33,3 38,7 42,7 47,2 49,8222Determining tube lengths - overall lengthIn order to determine the length of the tube before flaring, thedimension X must be deducted from each tube end which is to beconnected to a coupling body. When using the dimension tables tocalculate the tube length, the dimension T must be used. T representsthe difference in tube length between the flare coupling and the cuttingring coupling. The overall lengths for flare couplings can be determinedby using dimensions H1 and H2.Series Tube sizeAD x s T x H1 H2L6x1 8,5 1,5 21,5 17,56x1,5 9 2 22 188x1 9 2 22 188x1,5 9,5 2,5 23 198x2 10 3 24 2010x1 9 2 24 1910x1,5 10 3 25 2010x2 11 4 25,5 20,512x1 9 2 25 19,512x1,5 9,5 2,5 25,5 2012x2 10 3 26,5 2115x1,5 9 2 28,5 2115x2 9,5 2,5 29 21,515x2,5 10 3 30 22,518x1,5 8,5 1 28,5 22,518x2 9 1,5 29,5 23,518x2,5 9,5 2 30 2422x1,5 8,5 1 30,5 23,522x2 9 1,5 31,5 24,522x2,5 9,5 2 32 2522x3 11 3,5 33 2628x2 11,5 4 33,5 2528x2,5 12 4,5 34,5 2628x3 12,5 5 35 26,535x2 12 1,5 39,5 29,535x2,5 12,5 2 40 3035x3 13,5 3 41 3135x4 15 4,5 42,5 32,542x2 12 1 46 32,542x3 13,5 2,5 47,5 3442x4 15 4 49 35,5Series Tube sizeAD x s T x H1 H2S6x1 8,5 1,5 21,5 17,56x1,5 9 2 22 188x1 9 2 22 188x1,5 9,5 2,5 23 198x2 10 3 24 2010x1 10 2,5 25 2010x1,5 10,5 3 25,5 20,510x2 11,5 4 26 2112x1 9,5 2 25,5 2012x1,5 10 2,5 26 20,512x2 10,5 3 27 21,514x1,5 9,5 1,5 29 21,514x2 10,5 2,5 30 22,514x2,5 11 3 31 23,514x3 11,5 3,5 32 24,516x1,5 10 1,5 30,5 24,516x2 11 2,5 31,5 25,516x2,5 11,5 3 32 2616x3 12 3,5 33 2720x2 12,5 2 35 2820x2,5 13 2,5 35,5 28,520x3 13,5 3 36 2920x3,5 14,5 4 37 3025x2 15,5 3,5 39 30,525x2,5 16 4 40 31,525x3 17 5 41 32,525x4 18 6 42,5 3430x2 14 0,5 43 3330x2,5 14,5 1 43,5 33,530x3 15,5 2 44 3430x4 16,5 3 45,5 35,530x5 17,5 4 47 3738x2,5 17 1 52,5 3938x3 17,5 1,5 53 39,538x4 19 3 54,5 4138x5 20,5 4,5 56 42,5
Installation rulesInstallation of adaptors for 37° flared tube to ISO 8434-2Installation1- Deburr the pipe inside and outside, do not chamfer. Clean the tube end, otherwise the sealing surface ofthe tube will be damaged when it is flared.2- Slide the nut and the flare sleeve over the tube.3- Flare the tube by means of flaring tools or a flaring machine. The flare diameter DB must not exceed thelimits given in the table. The flare cone must be square to the tubular axis and be concentric to the collar. The inner cone must be clean and free of burrs.4- Screw the retaining nut onto the coupling body fingertight. Tighten the nut with a spanner1/4 to max. 1/2 turn, or with a torque wrench, to the values shown in the following table.Determining tube length223For calculating the overall tube length, you should add length X to the required length - this corresponds tothe insertion of the coupling cone in the flare part of the tube.
