Pre-Designed TemplatesThe accompanying illustrations show some examples of how the Heart Center emblem is to be used.Approved templates are already designed for many of these applications. The Heart Center emblem is designed as a graphic device to be used in combination with the UNC HeartCenter logo. It is never to be used without the Heart Center logo being present. The Heart Centeremblem and Heart Center logo must always appear on the same visual plane (i.e. the same side ofa printed piece such as the poster, brochure cover, t-shirt, or other examples included in this section).Putting one on the front and the other one on the back, or having them appear only on successive pagesdoes not satisfy the emblem guidelines.Since the Heart Center emblem is a graphic, and not a logo, it can be sized as needed to best suit thepiece being produced (see following templates). For example, on posters it can be enlarged to fill theentire width of the page, or in other applications it can be reduced to a size equal to the Heart Centerlogo. It should never be reproduced at a size less than 1 inch in width. The emblem may be positionedvery close to the Health Care logo as in the signage, have the Heart Center logo overlap it as in thebutton, or be at opposite ends of the page.PosterHeadline Font: ImpactFor the Heart CenterSubhead Font: Minion Bold ItalicBrochure CoverHeartCenterBrochureHeadline Font: MinionPublic Affairs & Marketing: 919-966-3366 • 919-966-6207 (fax) • www.unchealthcare.org47
