Engineered to be StrongThe Valtra A Series has been engineered to be extremelystrong and reliable. The tractor features Valtra’s uniquechassis construction, in which the fuel tank acts as amidframe and at the same time helps protect the driveto the front axle. The design offers high ground clearancewith good protection for the underframe.This is a strong, lightweight and extremely agile tractorthat delivers the performance you need to carry outyour tasks as efficiently as possible. CabThe A Series offers three cab-type options: thestandard cab, a 155-millimeter lower cab, anda forest cab with additional space inside forturning plus an accelerator pedal in the rearof the cab.All A Series cabs are highly functional andstylish. Large doors and sturdy handles makeit easy for access. The driver’s seat can beeasily adjusted and rotates 180 degrees. Thesteering wheel is padded and also adjustable,making it easy to grip and light on the fingers.All the main controls in the cab areergonomically located within easy reach, andthe analogue dials are clear and easy to read.The electrical switches are located on the maininstrument panel and on the side pillar. Visibilityforwards is very good due to the pillar mountedexhaust on the right corner of the cab and thesloping bonnet line. Visibility to the sides isalso excellent, making it easy to drive thetractor, especially in tight spaces.In addition to the powerful standard heater,the cab can be equipped with an additionalheater (optional) in the cab roof. This allowswarm air to be directed to both the feet andthe upper body. Transmission and PowertrainiShiftThe A Series features a fully synchronised12F+12R transmission equipped withmechanical forward-reverse shuttle. Thetransmission has three ranges with four maingears in each range and includes creeper gears.Thanks to its straightforward design, theefficiency of the transmission and powertrainis exceptionally high.An important optional feature is the HiShiftbutton-operated clutch control, which allowsthe driver to operate the tractor without everhaving to use the clutch pedal. HiShift increasesdriver comfort by saving the effort of havingto depress the clutch pedal up to hundreds oftimes a day.The four-wheel-drive system is electrohydraulically activated, and four-wheel-brakingis automatically activated when braking orapplying the parking brake. The differential lockcan also be activated and deactivated at theflick of a switch.Electro hydraulic activation of the PTO isavailable as an option. EnginesValtra A Series tractors come with heavy-dutyturbocharged three and four-cylinder SisuDieselengines. These engines feature a specialcylinder centre support that increases strengthand reduces vibrations.A new feature of the engines is air-to-airintercooling, as well as a significantly morepowerful air cleaner. The engines alreadysurpass the Tier 3 emissions level.All engines feature Bosch fuel injection. Theinduction air is electrically preheated, whichensures clean emissions and good starting inall conditions.The performance of the engines has beenengineered for even the heaviest work. Thetorque spread is even and can be felt whenpulling. HydraulicsThe hydraulic output is 55 litres per minute. The workinghydraulics have two valves as standard and an additionalextra two valves are optional.The lifting capacity of the rear three point linkage is 28 or33 kN (when equipped with auxiliary lifting cylinder). Inaddition to the standard mechanically operated linkage,electronically controlled Autocontrol lift linkage is available,offering unbeatable performance in this class.A 2.5-tonne front linkage and front PTO are also available.A custom-designed and tested Valtra front loader is alsoavailable for the A Series and is fitted at the factory.
