MetaLarv S-PT preventsthe emergence of Aedes, Ochlerotatus, and Psorophoraspp., (adult floodwater mosquitoes) and Anopheles, Culex,Culiseta, Coquillettidia, and Mansonia spp (adult standingwater mosquitoes).NOTE: MetaLarv S-PT prevents development of mosquito larvaeinto adults. MetaLarv S-PT has no effect on mosquitoes thathave reached the pupal or adult stage prior to treatment.4.0 APPLICATION DIRECTIONSApply MetaLarv S-PT to mosquito breeding sites at any timeduring the mosquito season. One application will control adultemergence for up to 42 days. Continue treatment through thelast brood of the season. Treated larvae continue to developnormally to the pupal stage where they die.Apply MetaLarv S-PT to breeding sites that will beintentionally flooded and to sites that will naturally flood, up to28 days prior to flooding. Periods of greater than 28 daysbetween application and flooding will provide shorter residualcontrol and will need reapplication based on local programthreshold requirements.Apply the pellets evenly over the entire habitat that is floodedand/or expected to be flooded to maintain continuous controlas the site alternately floods and dries. Alternate wetting anddrying will not reduce pellet effectiveness.MetaLarv S-PT can be applied to areas that contain fish, otheraquatic life, and plants. MetaLarv S-PT can be applied to areasused by or in contact with humans, pets, horses, livestock,birds, or wildlife.4.1 Application Sites And RatesUse lower application rates when water is shallow, vegetationand/or pollution are minimal, and mosquito populations arelow. Use higher rates when water is deep (>2 ft), vegetation,pollution, and/or organic debris or water flow are high, andmosquito populations are high. MetaLarv S-PT should be broadcast applied as a dry product.Applications can be made using fixed wing aircraft, helicopter,boat, tractor mounted spreader, handheld or backpack spreader.Fixed wing aircraft or helicopters equipped with granularspreaders capable of applying rates from 2.5-10 lb/acre maybe used to apply MetaLarv S-PT. The pellets may also beapplied using ground equipment that will achieve good, evencoverage at rates from 2.5-10 lb/acre.5.0 STORAGE AND DISPOSALDo not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipmentwashwaters.Pesticide Storage: Store any unused product in originalcontainer. Ensure that container is tightly closed then store ina cool, dry place.Pesticide Disposal: Wastes resulting from the use of thisproduct may be disposed of on site or at an approved wastedisposal facility.Container Handling: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse orrefill this container. Offer for recycling, if available. Completelyempty bag into application equipment.Then dispose of emptybag in a sanitary landfill or by incineration, or, if allowed by Stateand local authorities, by burning.
