The Champion • Wednesday 17 April 2013The defibrillator is presented to Hightown Football ClubCode1057966WKLIFE–SAVING defibrillators have been given to sports clubs inOrmskirk and Hightown after a mum from Maghull fundraisedfor them.Ormskirk Rugby Club and Hightown Football Club werepresented with the machines on Saturday, April 13.Sue Kirk, 40, and her husband Robert Kirk, 50, cycled 120miles around the Isle of Man over three days in July to raise£1,250 for the defibrillators after hearing about the tragic deathof a schoolboy for an undiagnosed heart condition.The Oliver King Foundation was set up in his memory after theswimmer and sportsman died aged 12 from sudden arrhythmicdeath syndrome caused by heart rhythm abnormalities.
