From £799All sailings are from Liverpool Pier Head Cruise Terminal.*Some cruises are subject to a £5pppn fuel supplement.Door to door transfers are not available on Liverpool cruises11102741110167Hundreds climb Snowdonfor new oxygen machineChampion reporter David Raven joined a charitytrek up Mt Snowdon to raise money for aportable oxygen machine for a 15–year–old boy.OVER 200 people did a fantastic job of battlingthrough heavy rain and wind while climbingthe highest mountain in Wales to help out agood cause.On Saturday, June 16, youngsters, familiesand friends from Sefton, many with noclimbing experience, put on their walkingboots and boarded a coach to climb 3,500ft tallMt Snowdon.They were joined by Ronnie and CarolineMills from Lydiate, who have two sons,Michael, 15, and Andrew, 12, that both sufferfrom Goldberg Shprintzen Syndrome.Michael requires oxygen throughout the nightand a special immobile oxygen machine hasbeen fitted at his home but this means he can’thave any sleepovers or go on holiday.In order to meet the £6,000 target for aportable oxygen machine, fundraising trustTEAM organised an event where over 200people climbed the mountain albeit duringvery poor weather conditions.Caroline said: “I was delighted when I sawhow many people did the climb and braved theweather conditions.“It has been quite emotional seeing all thesupport we have received, it has beenphenomenal and has definitely brought tearsto our eyes.“The machine will give him freedom to goaway and have sleepovers and be a normal boyagain.“Michael is a lovely little boy, he is very quietAvailable Day & Eveningby appointment ONLY.
