The tour is being held for the 5th year and has
what gives them inspiration.
This year you will find wonderful examples
of drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture and
photography. An amazing array of work and
creativity will be showcased - both whimsical
and serious.
The tour enables you purchase artwork directly
from the artist. Browsers and buyers are most
exhibited in Oakville and
Mississauga and has studied
under some of the areas’ best
Monique
Gauthier Natale
Monique likes to honour her
metis and acadian heritage
at the wheel and especially in
handbuilding techniques. Her
style is known as fluid with a lot
of movement glazed in earth
and natural tones.
Susan Brown
An avid Oakville Art Society
member, Susan divides her
artistic pursuits between local
Bronte photography capturing
its lakeside beauty and oneof-a-kind
funky yet functional
hand-built pottery.
Theresa Jardin-Ottoni
My infatuation with creating
pottery has evolved over the
last five years. I appreciate
the process of making items
both decorative and functional,
large and small. Colour and slip
decoration are a new area of
exploration for me.
Andrea Seibt
The beauty of marine life has
always captured me, scientifically
and as an artist. My
paintings reflect my passion for
the underwater environment. I
enjoy using various media to
develop my ideas.
Carla Gonzales
Art to me is all and in everything.
I paint from the heart
and I paint what I see and feel.
I specialize in oil painting and
mixed media.
Edward Hoyer
A painter, photographer, writer
and sculptor, Edward uses a
unique style in acrylic, oil and
mixed media. Using colour and
texture his work takes you
into a world where peace and
serenity rules.
Heidi Rohde
Artist and instructor who paints
colourful, vibrant landscapes
of local scenes, particularly of
the Niagara Escarpment. She
works in acrylic, watercolour
and pastel. Florals and still
life are also favoured subject
matter.
Janice Ykema
I enjoy celebrating the
medium of acrylics and using it
to evoke emotion in the viewer.
Inspiration often comes from
my observations of humanity
and my desire to translate my
understanding through the use
of creatures.
Jose Homero Guevara
There is a deep rationality
in Jose’s work; The Tree has
always been one of the most
representative elements found
in nature. In his paintings, the
magic trees divide the space.
Light & shadow, negative &
positive are part of the balance.
Mae Gioux
To me the art is an extension
of the artist, the act of creating
is even more rewarding than a
superbly finished product.
I believe that an artist must be
a creator and express from
within.
Mario Angel
I paint using various techniques
both classical and impressionistic.
I express experiences of
love, hate, anxiety, regret, joy,
and happiness. In my art I hope
to convey the balance and
ultimately the unity of life.
Mary Ann Pumpelly
Mary Ann has painted for
many years and is currently
fascinated by the vibrancy and
transparency of watercolour.
She uses this medium to create
realistic landscapes from her
travels and in life-like portraits
of people and animals.
Mary
Pumpelly-Knowland
Mary uses vibrant colours and
textures to create dynamic
paintings that celebrate the
joy of life. Her favourite themes
-flowers, animal portraits and
abstracts. She enjoys painting
in watercolour, acrylic and
mixed media collage.
described as photo-realistic.
She likes to capture nature just
as it is found in life. Her watercolour
paintings are looser and
more impressionistic, but still
strive to capture nature in all its
splendour.
Elena Henderson
My uncontrolled imagination is
a crucial part of my work. I use
my brush as a powerful tool
of self-expression. I transform
simple and refined shapes into
dramatic scenery of graceful
forms, brilliant colours and
texture.
Maria Hoyer
Strength is in the classic use
of oil paint, Maria’s work
invokes images that take us
into a world of Latin heritage.
technique, her work is alive with
colour, expression and realism.
Marsha Strycharz
Marsha studied drawing and
painting at Sheridan College.
She works in oils and paints still
life in a classical realist style.
Her subject matter is simple,
allowing the light, shadows
and reflections to share the
focus.
Silvia
Damar Radvansky
Silvia’s artistic work is a study
in methods and concept. She
explores different techniques
with oils, acrylics, inks and
watercolours to obtain textures
and colours that harmonize,
concepts which move from
figurative to abstract.
Rodgrigo Valenzuela
Art has been a part of my life
since I was a child & have been
blessed with strong illustration
skills. A professional working
artist, I enjoy the challenges
and details of landscape
painting.
Isabelle Marin
Isabelle’s art is inspired by her
love of travel and photography.
Vivid landscapes, still life and
abstracts are expressed in
watercolour, acrylic and print
media created at her home
studio in Burlington, Ontario.
Atanur Dogan
A Turkish-Canadian portrait
& figurative watercolour artist,
Atanur has been deemed one
of the five best portrait artists
in the world by the Portrait Society
of Canada. He is pleased to
welcome art lovers to his studio
home.
Rosemary
VanderBreggen
My passions for art are in
watercolour and collage.
Both mediums allow me the
freedom of expression that
translates my life experiences
to paper. Bright, colourful,
beautiful, happy and wildly
imaginative.
Elizabeth Elkin
Elizabeth is a renowned
professional artist with an international
reputation, with over
25 years’ worth of experience
in the field. Oil on canvas, her
art ranges from landscapes
and cityscapes to abstract: a
rich display of striking color.
Tad Dunin
Tad skilfully uses watercolour
and crayons, to capture his
imaginary world. He draws
on his memories, dreams and
impressions to paint semi-
realistic places that don’t exist.
Through his paintings, he visits
them, creating his own journey.
Joanna Turlej
Joanna is a watercolour painter.
Through the use of texture,
colour, and light contrast,
she wants to stop viewers in
their tracks and be mystified
about a particular time and
place and to be drawn into
the unknown.
